My Sad iPod Haiku

My iPod is dead.

My lovely music all gone.
My ears are lonely.

Now you've gone and made me sad. My ears aren't though.

You know what's cheaper than an iPod? Singing Phil Collins' greatest hits to yourself everywhere you go!

I saw an iPod the other day. It was the first one I've ever seen... A few years ago I heard rumors that a guy I know touched one, but I've never really believed it. To be honest, I really never considered the thought that someone I know might really own one of the things. What are they like?

Suze - It's very depressing.

Pistols - I've got the music in me - but Phil Collins isn't in there anywhere. I sing Buddy Holly songs to the cat quite a bit. Thanks for trying to help.

Chris - Lord man, I hope you are joking.

It's like having any song you want available for your listening pleasure anywhere, at any given moment. And I have podcasts of all my favorite NPR shows on it too. Before I received one as a gift I thought they were kind of a waste of money. Now I seriously become the crying kind of upset when it's not working.

It was the saddest day when someone stole my iPod. I just got a new one and my love for it grows (it's not a video one though because that's too much business for me).

No joke -- I briefly saw my first iPod last Saturday. Some lady was putting it in her purse. I caught a glimpse of it from across the table. I've seen 'em on TV -- I'm sure it was an iPod.

Maybe when the student loan payments are finished, and the credit cards are caught up, and the car is paid off... I have 'bout 5000 song on iTunes here on my computational device, would they all fit on an iPod? Or do you have to choose your top ten?

Laaw - Mine is one of the older ones - so it doesn't have video either. I do not have enough money to replace it. It's been my faithful companion and I'm sure I've just worn the thing out.

Chris - since it's no joke - iPods look very much like the graphic on my post only not ususally with x's for eyes.
I just looked at the iPod website yesterday to price some new ones. You can get a 160GB iPod that holds up to 40,000 songs for $349 or 80GB for $249 - so no worries mate - it'll hold all your songs.

I am sooo sorry for you. I do not own and iPod. I own an mp3 that comes from ancient times.

Still rocks though.

Dude. I feel your pain. My own iPod is six years old in a month and being a 1st gen with actual BUTTONS that PRESS it still works PERFECTLY but will not synch with any modern computer. My new laptop has firewire (which my iPod requires) and STILL it won't synch with it (or Vista). I am SO BUMMED. F*ckers. I can charge and play my pod but I can't sync it at all to add new stuff. So sad.

These are hard times. Some day soon, you will be able to function normally again. Life without an ipod is hard to get used to.

My thoughts are with you.
