I'm surprised you haven't come across it already.

Veg - The JC Penny catalog was the highlight of my existence on this earth from ages 4 to 12. My sister and I would fight over who got to take off the brown paper wrapper and have the first go at it. Once opened we'd fight over marking the pictures of the items we wanted (until we figured out we could both mark the same items with our initials).

CDP - ouch that makes me feel old. Internet shopping is pretty fun and nobody can get a coffee cup ring on it or burn it with a cigarette when you leave it open on the page with stuff you want your mom to see so she'll get it for you for your birthday or what have you.

WendyB - For some reason the photo of these gentlemen make me want to sing Sky Pilot.

Churlita - you should check it out - I swear you will LOL and you know I don't use text shorthand lightly. The Lady Who Doesn't Lunch:https://www.blogger.com/profile/16435708079953998705noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7963432418989382127.post-72669725952984490402010-02-22T13:58:16.302-05:002010-02-22T13:58:16.302-05:00Mmmmm. True story: I once told my 8yo that when I was his age, people didn't shop on the internet, they shopped from giant catalogs the size of phone books. His response? "What's a phone book?" Because we look up phone numbers online, too.Clairehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14956997477396182396noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7963432418989382127.post-42789859714200260962010-02-19T16:42:40.957-05:002010-02-19T16:42:40.957-05:00Thank you for this. I actually like a lot of seventies fashions - on women mostly, not on men so much. The rest? They are grade A hysterical. Like these.

Hipsters everywhere are weeping into their Vitamin Water.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7963432418989382127.post-67514559711314164662010-02-19T15:35:59.040-05:002010-02-19T15:35:59.040-05:00Oh this sounds wonderful!
